Part I:

Text logos are different that symbol logos. A text logo uses only letters to make up the design and there is no need for symbols. Certain fonts are ingrained in out minds and we associate only those fonts with certain things. Search the Internet and find a text logo that you love! Save it into your folder and upload it onto your wiki page with a 50 word description about why you find it aesthetically appealing.

Part II: Brainstorm Digitally

You are going to make a text logo for your social issue/cause. You will have to come up with what your cause is called? What type of font is used? What color scheme? You have already done the brain storming so the perfect font hunt is on!

  1. Start with a new print document that is 8.5 x 11".
  2. Then type your social issue title 4 times with 4 different fonts, select the font that goes best with your issue? delicate? heavy? thin?
  3. Then pick your favorite font and click on type>create outlines (you will now see the anchor points)
  4. If you then go to Object>ungroup (you can now move letters individually)
  5. Move the letters around and work witht text logo that best represents your style as a designer.
  6. Select the best 2 designs and elaborate on them…so then you have a total of 4 designs.
